HELLO! And welcome to my page. Thank you for popping by.
My name is Tabitha and I'm an artist, a workshop facilitator, a performer and a costumier who has recently moved to a lovely little pocket of a village between Oxford and The Cotswolds with my wonderful partner, Rhys. Originally I hail from North Yorkshire and still spend a lot of time there- a very special place to me.
I started as a performer, a two-time Judi Dench award winner by the age of fifteen, but life took me on some unexpected journeys (as is it's want) and I ended up training at the Northern College of Costume in York as a professional costumier. Somewhere in between all that, I've worked as a youth worker, a piano restorer, a gallery co-manager a simulated patient (yes it is a real thing) and developed my skills as an artist in my own right.
I've worked on lots of amazing projects and shows including designing for John Godber and Nick Lane's Moby Dick, and the smash-hit Austentatious starring Cariad Lloyd and Rachel Paris. I've worked on Costume teams for Tiger Aspect's Peaky Blinders, ITV's Victoria and The MoonStone on the BBC.
What I really love to do is make and create and share my skills with others. That's why, these days, you'll find me running workshops all over the country. Sometimes you'll find me in theatres or community venues and sometimes you'll find me in hospitals, often working one-to-one on renal and rehab units. My workshops are always about play and expression and creating a brilliant place to not only learn new skills but to enjoy ourselves!
